Urban Engineering

The study program of master's academic studies in Urban Engineering is accredited by the Certificate of the Commission for Accreditation and Quality Assurance of the Republic of Serbia bpoj: 612-00-00899 / 2017-06 from February 9, 2018. years.

The study program lasts one year (60 ECTS), belongs to the field of interdisciplinary, multidisciplinary, transdisciplinary (IMT) and two-subject studies and gives the academic title "Master Engineer of Urbanism and Regional Development".

Enrollment requirements: All students who have completed four years of basic academic studies at one of the following faculties have the right to enroll: Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Organizational Sciences, as well as some faculties of similar profiles. technological or natural mathematical sciences, with at least 240 ECTS credits.

The conditions for enrollment in the study program and other most important elements of the study program and study regime are prescribed by the Statute and the Rulebook on the regime of basic and master studies of the Faculty of Engineering.

In addition to taking the exam, the realization of professional practice is also planned, as well as the preparation of a master's thesis.

Upon completion of the master's degree in Urban Engineering, the expected learning outcomes are:

  • possibility of analysis and discussion of complex influences and aspects that form and shape urban spaces;
  • use of new methods and technologies in urban planning, and knowledge of the possibilities of their use in the processes of urban development management;
  • knowledge of the possibilities of different GIS applications and analysis and evaluation of GIS products and performance;
  • ability to join the teams for the development of environmental and energy plans;
  • independent decision-making during project management in all phases of project implementation;
  • independent application of acquired knowledge from shallow and deep way of founding modern constructions;
  • independent calculation of the structure in the dynamic and seismic sense;
  • application of finite element methods in nonlinear static and dynamic analysis of building structures;
  • use of modern software in the field of FEM for the analysis of structures in the design phase;
  • mastering the broader context of perceiving engineering and research problems, which means taking into account economic, environmental, organizational and social relations.
