Mechanical Engineering

The study program of basic academic studies in Mechanical Engineering is accredited by the Certificate of the Commission for Accreditation and Quality Assurance of the Republic of Serbia bpoj: 612-00-00294 / 5 / 2019-03 from 04.10.2019. years.

The study program lasts three years (180 ECTS), belongs to the field of technical and technological sciences and gives the academic title of "mechanical engineer".

Admission requirements: In the first year of basic academic studies, a person with a four-year high school diploma has the right to enroll, who passes the entrance exam in mathematics and takes a place on the ranking list within the number of students approved by the University of Kragujevac and the Government of Serbia. for enrollment in the first year of basic academic studies. The conditions for enrollment in the study program and other most important elements of the study program and study regime are prescribed by the Statute and the Rulebook on the regime of basic and master studies of the Faculty of Engineering.

By enrolling in the fifth semester, the student chooses a module, from the eight offered:

  1. Mechanical constructions and mechanization
  2. Production machinery
  3. Motor vehicles and engines
  4. Energy and process engineering
  5. Applied mechanics and automatic control
  6. Industrial Engineering
  7. Informatics in Engineering and
  8. Road traffic

In addition to teaching and taking exams in compulsory and elective subjects, the realization of professional practice is also planned, as well as the preparation of the final paper.

Upon completion of basic studies, a mechanical engineer is trained to:

  • analyzes engineering problems, products, processes and procedures in accordance with the key elements of systems theory;
  • uses modern engineering tools for modeling, simulation, calculations and design;
  • understands the principles of construction and design of machines, devices, engineering software and processes;
  • analyzes and independently compiles relevant technical documentation;
  • masters the skills of presentation of matter, communication with the work environment, as well as skills and knowledge in relevant areas of economics and law (organization, entrepreneurship, intellectual property, etc.);
  • understand relationships in a broader, economic, environmental and ethical context, etc.
