Serbia–France–Corsica: Advancing Renewable Energy Through Scientific Excellence
The Faculty of Engineering, University of Kragujevac (Serbia), Mines Paris – PSL (France), and the University of Corsica Pasquale Paoli (France) are joining forces to address one of the most pressing challenges of our time: integrating renewable energy into modern power systems.
This collaboration, involving Professor Gilles Notton (University of Corsica) and Professor Cyril Voyant (Mines Paris – PSL) alongside other leading researchers, brings together complementary expertise in solar forecasting, numerical simulation, and energy systems optimization. The results of this partnership are reflected in recent joint scientific publications (Solar Energy, 2025, Renewable Energy, 2025, arXiv preprint, 2025, Applied Energy, 2024), and preparations for joint applications to major European funding programs such as Erasmus+ and COST.
New projects in wind energy are also underway, expanding the scope of cooperation and reinforcing Serbia’s role in international renewable energy research. For Serbia, this partnership strengthens national capabilities, supports the training of the next generation of engineers, and contributes to the European and global transition toward sustainable power.
