As part of the Interreg Danube GeoHeCo project (“Fostering the implementation of shallow geothermal hybrid heating and cooling systems in the Danube Region”), in which the Faculty of Engineering Kragujevac is one of the partners, a visit was made to the city of Eisenstadt, Austria, from June 11 to 14, 2025.
The meeting was organised by Forschung Burgenland, part of the University of Applied Sciences Burgenland. It consisted of two full-day workshops. The first day was dedicated to engagement with interested stakeholders and was held as a hybrid event (in-person and online). The second day focused on a “training of trainers” session, aimed at sharing knowledge among project partners about a newly developed online tool, conceived as a practical aid for engineers in real-life geothermal modelling scenarios.
The tool will soon be available to interested parties. Please follow us for updates, especially if you are involved in or interested in the exploitation of shallow geothermal energy.
